I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz around facial exercises lately and there is some conflicting information out there, but for the most part, it seems that these can be beneficial.
There seems to be two lines of thought here:
Exercising your face muscles increases blood flow. Increased blood flow is rumored to make your skin look healthier by bringing oxygen and antioxidants to the surface of the skin and getting rid of toxins and free radicals.
Firming up muscles in the face causes them to be bigger, thereby making the face appear more full and toned.
There aren’t enough studies to prove these claims, but the initial ones are pretty encouraging.
Following are 15 facial exercises to try. If you aren’t really interested, the pictures of myself trying to do them are pretty entertaining. Also, it’s really hard to take a picture using one hand.
