8种缓解过敏的方法

May 16 – As climate change continues to affect the globe, more people are suffering from airborne allergens year-round, with pollen, dust, mold, and animal dander acting as the main culprits.

So how do allergies occur?
It boils down to our immune system. Some people’s immune system is oversensitive and will react to allergens it mistakenly identifies as harmful by producing antibodies. The immune system’s reaction to allergens can range from mild to severe with the itching of the nose, eyes or roof of the mouth, having a runny, stuffy nose and/or watery, red or swollen eyes.

What to do?
1- Make dietary changes
Adding certain foods to one’s diet could help relieve allergy symptoms such as ginger, citrus fruits, apples, pineapples, tomatoes, turmeric, onions, salmon and other oily fish, and nuts.

2- Take vitamins and food supplements
The best approach is to always maintain a healthy diet, but for an extra boost to an oversensitive immune system, food supplements are recommended.
Besides anti-histamine products [try ], other vitamins could also provide relief from allergies such as , Vitamin D, and Vitamin A.

3- Use saline nasal irrigation
A neti pot or squeeze bottle can wash away pollen and other allergens that found their way in the sinuses, so flushing them out can provide relief.

4- Change clothes and shower
If one has been outside, it is best to shower ad get into a new change of clothes so that one removes pollen from skin, hair and clothes.

5- Use humidifiers
Make sure to properly maintain a humidifier when using it so it can work to reduce allergy symptoms and improve the health of the mucous membranes of the airway instead of worsening it with the growth of bacteria and fungi.

6- Use clothes dryer
Avoid hanging laundry outside as pollen can stick to wet clothes opting instead to use the dryer.

7- Stay indoors
If possible stay indoors especially on windy and dry days to avoid irritability and higher sensitivity to the weather conditions.

8- Wear a mask
To get chores done outdoors, it is best to wear a mask to ease discomfort from a variety of airborne allergens.

If symptoms worsen or become severe, a visit to a doctor is highly recommended, especially as untreated allergies can sometimes progress into sinus infection.

最好的方法是始终保持健康的饮食,但为了额外增强过度敏感的免疫系统,建议补充食物。

除了抗组胺产品(试试Cedallym),其他维生素也可以缓解过敏,如维生素C、维生素D和维生素A。

3-使用盐水鼻腔冲洗

一个网眼壶或挤压瓶可以洗掉在鼻窦中找到的花粉和其他过敏原,因此冲洗它们可以缓解压力。

4-换衣服和淋浴

如果一个人在外面,最好洗个澡,换一件新衣服,这样可以去除皮肤、头发和衣服上的花粉。

5-使用加湿器

在使用加湿器时,确保正确维护加湿器,以减少过敏症状,改善气道粘膜的健康,而不是随着细菌和真菌的生长而恶化。

6-使用干衣机

避免将衣物挂在外面,因为花粉会粘在湿衣服上,而选择使用烘干机。

7-呆在室内

如果可能的话,呆在室内,尤其是在刮风和干燥的日子,以避免易怒和对天气条件更敏感。

8-戴口罩

要在户外做家务,最好戴上口罩,以缓解各种空气中过敏原带来的不适。

如果症状恶化或变得严重,强烈建议去看医生,特别是因为未经治疗的过敏有时会发展为鼻窦感染。
