Just got back from a wonderful girls weekend in Corpus Christi, Texas. As diligent as we thought we were being with the sunscreen, all four of my friends and I came home with some pretty wicked sunburns.
Aloe vera gel was the go-to remedy we reached for to relieve the pain. I combined that with regular doses of Tylenol.
Of course this has me wondering what everyone else uses for sunburn relief. I heard someone mentioned that Noxema was a great cure. This seems counterintuitive to a degree, but those that have used it, swear by it. They say it takes away the pain instantly. I was also told that a vinegar bath is pretty good at relieving the sting of a burn.
A quick search of the internet brought up the several more natural remedy suggestions.
Because I put more faith in word of mouth, I thought it would be fun to conduct a poll to see what my readers think is the best remedy for a sunburn.
I included both results from my internet search with recommendations from friends. You can click on more than one selection. Once you hit submit, it will show you the results of those that have voted so far.
If you have another remedy that wasn’t in the poll, please leave it in the comments below. Help a girl out!
